Spring Fashion for Summer

Pinky swears; I genuinely intended to be posting more regularly than I have been. The lack of new adventures and discussion points aside, I have a well-stocked backlog of things that I've been meaning to post. Distractions seem to be all around me at the moment though so it's just not happened.

Today, is hopefully the first step in setting that right though, as we'll take a quick flashback to 2 months ago when I made a one-off sojourn out of my isolation to attend the Bare Bunnies Spring Fashion show. Life got in the way of their previous show. Frustratingly, I only managed to arrive in time to catch the host thanking the crowd for showing their appreciation for all the designers and models as they all took their final bows.

Not this time though. Not amount of wallowing in self-pity was going to deny me this one night out, especially since 2 of the designers for this show were Harlyn and Felicia Black, both of whom I'm a big fan of, but you probably already knew that, particularly for Felicia, whose Black Cats shoes I have regularly stepped out in. Still waiting for that endorsement offer to come in though. It is worth pointing out that this was her first foray into the world of clothing instead of her typical footwear.

I'll have to apologise to the other 2 designers though. My memory is good, but not so good who I can remember their names 2 months after the fact. Obviously, they aren't people I'm acquainted with but I'm still a little ashamed that I can't give them the proper credit they are due for their work.

So 4 designers in total, with each having 4 models to show off their clothing. Each model got 2 walks down the runway. Some designers chose to go with giving them separately themed collections for each walk, while others went with a single theme but with variations for each time, usually meaning that some garments for the first walk had disappeared second time round.

Again, I apologise but my recollection of what the collections were is vague, at best. There was definitely some summer wear, some smart wear and some under wear collections in there somewhere.

The one thing that I do remember for sure, is that Harlyn's offerings were definitely my preferred collections. I cannot stress enough that it wasn't a competition and all of the designers did create jobs but Harlyn's just really struck a chord with me.

It could actually just be down to recency bias since she closed out the show so her collections stuck with me more, but I'm pretty confident that I genuinely found them to be most to my tastes. Also, and I am acutely aware of how shallow this will make me sound, but I think she had the cutest group of models, who were all splendid bits of eye candy.

And, sadly, that is about all that I have to say because... well, did I mention that this was 2 months ago?

Yeah, a lot has happened since then and I only have so much capacity within my noggin to remember this sort of stuff. If it's any consolation though, hopefully all these photos will help fill in a few of the blanks. You know what they say about pictures painting a thousand words and all that jazz..

Also, I'm only now realising how daft it is that I'm talking about Spring fashion in the middle of the Summer. Better late than never though!
