Sending the right message

When you're the one person that seems to have missed the memo about what is expected attire. Or, in this case, the lack of attire.

My question to you is this; at what point do you just follow suit and strip off just like everyone else? And should the point at which you consider doing that be governed by what sort of message you want to give off to others?

For example, as in this example, if you are chilling out at at a sex beach but are not actually down to fuck, should you eschew stripping off for fear of sending the wrong sort of signals to the prowling gentleman are are waiting to pounce on any willing partner?

Because that was my thinking here; staying clothed to ward off unwanted attention from anyone thinking a naked me would be 100% down to fuck. Because I wasn't. Just hanging out. Nothing more than that.

Or, is there a point when courtesy says that it's rude to not expose yourself when everyone else is? Should you not refuse to bare yourself to the world when those around you are putting it all on display?

Thoughts?
