Inside the Magical World of Mystix

When it comes to pantyhose photography, there is only one name that should spring to mind; Mystix.

Such is the standing of her work, both as photographer and as a set builder, that working with her is undoubtably something that should appear on every model's bucket list. You just need to scan down the list of names that she has photographed in the past to see that it's a who's who of the biggest names around.

And my patient wait to be added to that list is hopefully nearly at and end, which I couldn't be more thrilled about. Indeed, the intention was that we would shoot together tonight but, before getting going, Mystix invited to me to take a tour of her studio with her.

I was already well aware of the creativity of her sets. I would probably go as far as to say that it is unrivalled. But I was completely unprepared for the sheer number of them. Spread across four floors and arranged by different themes or styles, I lost count of how many she had. Each time I was sure that we'd seen it all, Mystix would unveil yet another floor or area to peruse around.

And I particularly love how Mystix has even gone to the effort of making walking around the studio an event in and of itself. It's not just what is intended to be in front of camera lens that has been considered here. Every last millimetre is beautifully designed and lovingly crafted. The whole space, which is considerable, is a piece of art.

By the time the tour finally reached its conclusion, it had been around 2 hrs, which unfortunately left us with no time to actually take any proper photos. Honestly though, I could have continued exploring them for another 2 hrs and still have barely scratched the surface.

The best way I can describe walking round her studio is that it is an 'experience'. The most unique experience I have had in a long time, and like nothing I have ever had before as a model. Each set is stunning in its own right, so don't think for a second that its a case of quantity over quality. It's mind-boggling to think about how much time and love has gone into creating them.

And the fact that I have to pick just a few favourites to potentially shoot on is a massively daunting idea. For that reason, it's probably a good job that I've got a little more time to consider all of the options available. Without giving too much away, I think I'll go for ones that somehow fit my personality or are themed after things that I may be well-known for.

Now, you may be asking where are all my pictures from my tour? I've already explained that we didn't have time for the actual shot, but I must have been taking some whilst walking round, right? And I did take a few, but I don't feel it would be right to show them apart from this couple of teasers from the lobby.

Mystix's studio is something that needs to be experienced first hand and I don't want to rob anyone who might have the chance to visit it of getting to sample that sense of wonder I had when walking round for the first time. In this case, to give you that glimpse behind the curtain would also peel away some of the magic of the studio itself, as well as all of the stunning images that Mystix and her guests create there. I really don't want to do that.

But I will say a massive thank you to Mystix for giving me the opportunity to see it for myself and for  how generous she was with her time. It was quite remarkable how warm and welcoming she was. It all added to how magical my time there felt. I couldn't be more excited about the prospect of getting to go back again and to this time come away with something that I can show all over you.
