I recently lamented in a post about how I'd been very keen to get to the Bare
Bunnies fashion show that happened a few weekends ago. Various events
conspired to make me so late that I literally walked in the door at the exact
moment that the host announced the end of proceedings. I was gutted!
When I saw another fashion show event being advertised whilst I had some time
to kill today, I feared that, knowing my lucky, I would have already missed
the bulk of the action.
I needn't have worried though. Far from it, in fact. As luck would have it, I
arrived just minutes before the show kicked off and I was able to catch the
entire thing. Admittedly, that meant that seats were already a bit sparse with
plenty of guests already seated and waiting for the show to kick off. I still
managed to great view from the bar before finally spotting a vacated seat
later in the show.
Unfortunately, I don't know which organisation or club was responsible for the
show. If you know, feel free to leave a comment and I'll update as necessary.
But, whoever it was who was behind it, I must commend them for a very well run
event.
In a nutshell, the show was split into three sections. First up was formal
wear and dresses. That was then followed by tops and bottoms. And finally, we
got to see underwear. The show was then brought to a close by all of the
models taking a bow to rapturous and well-deserved applause. For each of the
three sections, each of the small group of models had one outfit to show
off.
The lovely hostess introduced each model and said a few words about the outfit
that they were modelling. It all seemed to run very smoothly and the models
actually did really great jobs. They all seemed to be very well drilled in
terms of strutting their stuff on the catwalk. All very professional. Oh, and
very attractive too.
Also, I think the whole thing lasted for almost exactly an hour, so whoever was responsible for the scheduling and time keeping did a fantastic job of making sure everything ran like clockwork to make sure that they started and finished right on cue.
My only disappointment was the lack in diversity. If I had to guess off the
top of my head, I'd say there were maybe 10 models in total but all of them
were woman apart from one. It would have been nice to see a few more guys up
there to see what sort of outfits they could be wearing. I'm really just knit
picking if that is the worst thing I can say though. I really did thoroughly
enjoy the show. Maybe also picked up a few ideas to try out for myself as well
sometime too.
Again, I'm sorry I don't know who was responsible for the show, which makes it
difficult to recommend what to look out for if they do any more shows. Maybe
that is th other thing that they could improve for future shows; a bit more
brand representation with some banners or whatever. Would be nice to know who
I'm congratulating on a show well done.
