First one of the season

Here we go then... As promised, I'm all ready getting out and about to explore what's going on. And what better place to start than with my first Christmas market of this year's festive season?

Hopefully this is just the first of many fun festive nights out this Christmas and it's already set a high bar for the rest of the month. Yup, it was a lovely evening out with Amanda where we got to enjoy all sorts of festive goodies.

First up, upon arrival, there was a table laid out with complimentary beer. I'm not a drinker myself but Amanda was very keen to start chugging one of those down. I, meanwhile, made my way over to fiddle with the coffee machine to see if I could make myself a nice, warm mocha. No luck though; seems someone forgot to put it within reach of a power outlet.

Instead, I moved on to see what food offerings were on offer. I quickly skipped passed the cold meats stall and proceeded directly to the bratwursts. I love me some good sausage and no, that is not a euphemism. I mean, yes, I do like cock because I know that is wear your mind has gone, but I really do also like the foody sausages as well. Especially when they have been cooked over an open fire!

Amanda went for the chips option instead. Nothing wrong with that but doesn't feel particularly festive. Or particularly German, which is what I expect from a German market. You can get chips at just about any market so give me a flavour of Deutschland when I'm at a place like this.

And then, my oh my, was there a selection of delicious treats for dessert. You could say Amanda and I swapped roles when selecting our sweets. Amanda went for some sort of traditional German torte, whilst I went for a classic iced doughnut. We then both followed those with some very lewd cock lollies! I couldn't help but continually make references to how we were gobbling down some cock. Sorry, not sorry.

With our tummies full, it was then time to have a good mooch and explore. Besides the quaint little courtyard that was holding the market, we found a roaring open fire to warm ourselves by, as well as a mountain of presents being guarded by some snowmen.

It was so tempting to try to take a peek inside at least one of the pressies to see what they were but I was a good girl and resisted the temptation. Mostly because, by this point in the evening, it was getting pretty damned cold so Amanda and I were more interested in going to huddle round that fire to keep warm.

I'm actually not quite sure why Amanda complained about the cold so much. I mean, she was wrapped up far better than I was. I guess I just have a hardier constitution against the cold than she does. That said, I might but on a proper jump for our next Christmas outing, wherever that may be.
