And it 's kind of funny, because this one really threw my brain through a
loop.
Reading the event poster on social media, I initially assumed that it was the
3rd birthday of Strip N Rock since it feels like Virtual Sugar as an
organisation have been around much longer than that. But at the same time, 3
years seemed like an awfully long time for Strip N Rock to have been around
for.
The answer to resolving this was simple, of course; I just had to dive back
into my older posts to check out when I posted my
A Night Out At Virtual Sugar
video, which I filmed during my first ever visit to a Virtual Sugar event.
Sure enough, I posted that video all the way back in July 2020. Doesn't time
fly!
Anyway, I know that Virtual Sugar aren't everyone's cup of tea, and that
plenty of people have had beef with them for one reason or another. Some of
that might be justified, some of it just people being being a little silly.
But they have always been quite supportive of what I do and I appreciate that
greatly.
After they saw my video, they invited me to have my own channel in their
server where I have been able to post links to my various content; blog
articles, porn movies, podcast episodes, Think Pink information and anything
else that I've forgotten to mention.
I had the honour of having my movies screened at every one of the
Porn Movie Parties
that they hosted. I was a really big fan of those, and the sort of creative
thinking that I believe really helps to keep the community vibrant and
innovative.
They've also reprinted a few of my articles in Sugarmag, which has hopefully
further helped bring my content to the attention of a wider audience. And
their social media accounts have generally been quite generous with the number
of retweets they give me on Twitter.
Finally for me,
Strip N Rock
has provided me with a good place to sit and chill on most Wednesday evenings. Oftentimes, I can be found quietly propping up the bar as I watch the would go by or tossing handfuls of dollar bills at Jess whilst she cavorts around the stage. That said, when I'm brave enough to actually talk to people, it is fertile land to do some networking when I need to recruit new volunteers to appear on the TTS Podcast as guest. I mean, you
cannot argue that it is not a good place to find plenty of prominent and
passionate content creators who would make great collaborators.
So, all in all, I'm quite grateful for the presence of Virtual Sugar and the
kindness they have shown me over the last 3 years, I also feel they have
contributed a lot to the wider community as well. Yes, they have maybe had a
few missteps and ruffled a few feathers along the way, but I feel like there was always the best of
intentions to do something for the betterment of the community.
Also, I like cake, and they had that in abundance at the birthday party so
fuck yeah! Also, lots of boobs and butts... But it's mostly cake I care about! That all I had my eyes on...
