I'm not a Pulp fan at all so, after giving it some thought, I could only come
up with the name of two of their songs; Common People and Disco 2000. I think
it is pretty safe to assume which of those it was most likely to be.
If I remember correctly, Common People had the video where a tiny Jarvis
Cocker was being pushed around in a giant shopping trolley. Look, it was the
90sand music videos were weird back then!
So whether it was deliberate or not, I think it is thematically appropriate
that a party named 2001 Disco Music Odyssey should carry a striking
resemblance to the music video for Disco 2000.
